Chris Tile's last visit to the ASC, with the acclaimed trio Nickel Creek, left the audience in awe with mandolin playing that was near perfection. Comprised of Thile, mandolin; Gabe Witcher, fiddle; Chris Eldridge, guitar; Noam Pikelny, banjo; and Greg Garrions, bass, Punch Brother's first album How to Grow a Woman from the Ground was nominated for a Grammy and launched the band nationally with performances on Lincoln Center's American Songbook Series and "The Tonight Show."
