Alys Robinson Stephens Performing Arts Center

Birmingham Music Club

Boston Brass
Begun in 1905, the Birmingham Music Club has a rich history of bringing the world's finest performers to Birmingham. Today that tradition continues with a partnership with the Alys Robinson Stephens Performing Arts Center as the BMC presents a lineup of artists who showcase the vibrant scope of classical music today in the "Classically Inclined" series.

In addition to the annual performance schedule, the Birmingham Music Club provides music education programs including school performances and master classes, and the prestigious Music Scholarship for music majors attending Alabama colleges and university. Currently managed by the BMC Guild, the program has awarded over $500,000 in scholarships.

As the oldest cultural arts organization in continual operation in the Southeast, the Birmingham Music Club has remained true to its mission of presenting internationally acclaimed artists to local audiences for over a century. This remarkable accomplishment is thanks to the initiative, generosity, and perseverance of visionary individuals.

*Free Music Preludes take place one hour perform each performance in the Reynolds-Kirschbaum Recital Hall.
