Directions and Parking
The Alys Stephens Center is located at 1200 10th Avenue South, Birmingham, on the campus of the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Parking is free and convenient. A parking lot is located directly across the street from the ASC. Street parking is also available. There is an upper and lower circular driveway that can be used to drop off disabled patrons. Allow extra time for parking during weekday performances.
Below are directions to the Center as well as the loading dock. Please note that there is no parking at the loading dock. This area is designated for loading and unloading of equipment only.
INTERSTATE 65 NORTH
ASC Box Office: Exit onto 8th Avenue South (University Boulevard). Turn right on 13th Street, then right again on 10th Avenue South. The Alys Stephens Center will be on your right.
Loading Dock: Exit onto 8th Avenue South (University Boulevard). Ignore "No Trucks-No Outlet" sign. Turn right on 12th Street. Take 3rd left into parking lot and then right onto drive to loading dock.
INTERSTATE 65 SOUTH
ASC Box Office: Exit onto 4th Avenue South. Turn right on 13th Street, continue to 10th Avenue South and turn right. The ASC will be on your right.
Loading Dock: Exit onto 4th Avenue South. Turn right on 13th Street until you reach University Boulevard (8th Ave. S.) When you reach University Boulevard, turn right. Travel one block and turn left into 12th Street. Ignore "No Trucks-No Outlet" sign. Take 3rd left into parking lot and then right onto drive to loading dock.
HIGHWAY 280 (RED MOUNTAIN EXPRESSWAY) EAST
ASC Box Office: Exit onto 8th Avenue South (University Boulevard) and turn right. Travel to 13th Street South and turn left. Turn right on 10th Avenue South, and the ASC will be on your right.
Loading Dock: Exit onto 8th Avenue South (University Boulevard) and turn right. Travel to 12th Street South and turn left. Ignore "No Trucks-No Outlet" sign. Take 3rd left into parking lot and then right onto drive to loading dock.
AIRPORT
ASC Box Office: Turn right onto Messer-Airport Highway to 59 South/20 West. Take the 31 South Ramp to University Boulevard (8th Ave. S.) exit. Turn right onto University Boulevard. Travel to 13th Street South and turn left. Turn right on 10th Avenue South, and the ASC will be on your right.
Loading Dock: Turn right onto Messer-Airport Highway to 59 South/20 West. Take the 31 South Ramp to University Boulevard (8th Ave. S.) exit. Turn right onto University Boulevard. Travel to 12th Street South and turn left. Ignore "No Trucks-No Outlet" sign. Take 3rd left into parking lot and then right onto drive to loading dock.
